Family Fitness Day 2018 took place at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts this past Sunday, April 29th, which was National Park RX Day.   It was a beautiful, cool, and windy morning, but that didn't bother the hardy runners, walkers, and hikers who showed up for this amazing day!   CRES students and families were welcomed to Wolf Trap by the Park Rangers and the Friends of Wolf Trap trail guides.  CRES students, Carter A., Hannah B., and Elliott B., sang the National Anthem.   The Colvin Run Club coaches, Mrs. Bunch, Mrs. Abernathy, and Ms. Seiler led the runners in warm-ups before the 5K Run began.   A huge congratulations to the 5K Runners -- it was a very tough, hilly course, but they all completed it with smiles on their faces!  Wolf Trap offered guided trail hikes throughout the morning as well.   Family Fitness Day Chairs, Stephanie Abraham and Maureen Boyle, would like to extend a huge thank you to Wolf Trap Park and the Friends of Wolf Trap.
