Dear CRES families,

As a  reminder from our 1-12-25 On the Run newsletter:

SIS ParentVue for Student Attendance begins Jan. 27 (All Grades)

• There is a new way for Parents to log their child’s daily Absence. Please view this brief “How To” Video detailing the process. Parents can easily update their child’s Absence through their SIS ParentVue. 
• Starting January 27, the option to record your child’s attendance using the CRES-based Attendance Form will end.
• Before January 27, watch the “How To” Video and log into your SIS ParentVue account to ensure you have access to your SIS ParentVue to log your child’s Absence or Late Arrival.
• This Attendance change is being done to align with the FCPS requirement for schools to have parents utilize the SIS ParentVue accounts to record their child’s Absence or Late Arrival to school.
• All Early dismissals and Change of Transportation will continue to be recorded using the CRES-based Early Dismissal and Change of Transportation form.

On Tuesday, January 21, Colvin Run ES will be hosting award-winning author Padma Venkatraman. She will be presenting her newest title, Safe Harbor to 3rd-6th Grade students.

All Grades have the opportunity to order a book for signature. The books are written for middle/upper elementary, but this may be a special keepsake for younger grades to enjoy when they get older.

Please navigate to the following link ColvinRunOnline Bookstore to order this book and/or her others for signature when she visits.  All books must be purchased by end of day Friday, January 17 (this Friday).  All pre-ordered books will be delivered to Colvin Run ES on the day of the visit.

If you purchased the author's books at our recent book fair, feel free to bring in any books purchased for signature when she comes Tuesday, January 21.

We look forward to hosting Padma Venkatraman in our Library.

We heard that some of the links may not work when viewing on a phone, while others can successfully view and access links. The links DO work on a computer.

We are finding those who do not have Google Docs on their phone may be experiencing these issues or if the phone is selecting Edge or Safari as a default browser, it may not be working. 

Alternatively, you may click the .pdf at the top of the 12-04-2024 On the Run newsletter which opens the newsletter with all links working correctly.
